Dunman Road is a short road spanning from Dakota MRT station to Joo Chiat Road. It is named after Thomas Dunman (1814 – 1887) was the first Commissioner of Police in Singapore from 1856 to 1871. Both Dunman Road and Dunman Lane in the Katong area of Singapore are named after him.
A few schools were named after the road, as well as properties. Schools, Apartments and Landed homes fill this stretch of Katong.
